A contract Storekeeper role for a construction/engineering company, handling store operations, inventory, and material issuance on site. The position targets candidates with hands-on storekeeping experience in construction or industrial settings. Location is Ondo; employer is Fort Hermon Limited.
What you would do
- Control store access to prevent theft, damage or unauthorised removal
- Monitor stock levels and raise purchase requisitions for critical consumables
- Ensure store activities comply with site HSE standards
- Track returned tools and machinery and arrange repairs or replacements
- Issue tools, equipment and materials to approved site workers and subcontractors with proper records
- Organise the store or yard to optimise space and keep records up to date
What they are asking for
- 3–4 years of storekeeping/inventory management experience on a construction site or industrial setting
- OND, HND or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, building, civil engineering or related field
- Knowledge of construction materials, tools, equipment and safety gear
- Experience with inventory management software or basic MS Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment and perform physical store tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication, integrity and attention to detail
