Store Manager - Issuing
About this role
The Store Manager – Issuing will oversee materials issuing for production, maintenance and site projects in Ogun. The role ensures correct material selection, timely issuance and accurate documentation to support uninterrupted plant operations while minimising stock losses, targeting candidates with substantial stores or issuing experience in heavy industry.
What you would do
- Oversee daily issuing activities for production, maintenance and contractors according to approved requisitions, job cards and work orders
- Verify requisitions for authorisation, specification and availability before issuing; escalate discrepancies
- Ensure accurate picking, kitting and staging of materials and maintain FIFO/FEFO discipline where applicable
- Issue materials using ERP/WMS systems and ensure material issue notes and requisition forms are complete and archived
- Supervise issuing team: training, rostering, performance appraisals and coaching
- Conduct regular physical checks of issuing points and satellite stores and reconcile differences with central stores
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Five years' stores/issuing experience in heavy industry; cement or large manufacturing preferred
- Hands-on experience with ERP stores modules and material issue workflows
- Strong process discipline and accountability
- Knowledge of spare parts identification and technical reading of parts
- Prioritise and manage emergency demands; customer-service orientation towards internal stakeholders
