A Steward is sought for Movenpick Hotel Ikoyi Lagos to support daily kitchen operations. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation across kitchen and service areas, and ensuring availability of clean equipment and utensils during service. What you would do
- Keep kitchen areas, equipment, floors and workstations clean
- Wash and sanitise utensils, cookware, crockery and cutlery
- Follow HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure proper waste disposal and maintain waste storage areas
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dishwashing and storage areas
- Support the culinary team by providing clean equipment and utensils during service
- Report maintenance issues and hygiene concerns to the supervisor
What they are asking for
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or Dishwasher in a hotel, restaurant or cafeteria is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, sanitation and HACCP standards
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment safely
