Station Cashier

About this role

A Station Cashier is sought by Nepal Energies for the Akwa Ibom area to handle customer payments for fuel, lubricants and other products at a filling station. The role involves processing cash, card, transfer and other payment types, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate cash and transaction records. The Cashier reports to the Station Manager and must uphold high standards of integrity, confidentiality and financial accountability. What you would do

• Process customer payments for fuel, lubricants and other products sold at the station.
• Handle cash, POS/card, bank transfer and other approved payments accurately.
• Verify payments before completing transactions or providing goods/services.
• Provide receipts and appropriate change; maintain accountability for all cash.
• Reconcile daily sales against records and prepare cashier reports.
• Report shortages, overages or discrepancies to the Station Manager.
• Maintain complete records of all transactions and supporting documents.
• Operate POS terminals and payment systems correctly and securely.
• Attend to customers professionally and address payment enquiries or disputes.
• Hand over cash, records and documents at shift end with proper reconciliation.
