State Immunization Consultant
About this role
A State Immunization Consultant provides technical leadership and strategic support to the State Primary Health Care Development Agency team to plan and implement immunisation activities at state and LGA levels, including efforts to increase coverage and nOPV2 delivery. The role involves collaborating with JSI and government counterparts, and contributing to capacity building, reporting, and alignment with national immunisation strategies.
What you would do
- Provide technical assistance to the SPHCDA/B and SEOC.
- Serve as a senior technical advisor to SPHCDA/B and represent JSI in relevant groups.
- Align state-level activities with national RI and cVDPV2 strategies.
- Develop and disseminate guidelines, SOPs, and job aids at multiple levels.
- Prepare donor reports, progress reports, success stories, and other technical documents.
- Build capacity of health personnel in routine immunisation, nOPV2 delivery, and data management.
What they are asking for
- Advanced degree in public health, nursing or related field.
- More than five years of experience in primary health care and public health program management.
- Strong knowledge of immunisation programming and maternal and child health.
- At least two years in a management role with leadership experience at subnational level.
- Experience in immunisation programs, including polio eradication, in urban and rural settings.
- Fluency in English.
