State Coordinator, IDG (Consultant) - Oyo
About this role
A State Coordinator (Consultant) in Oyo will lead daily implementation of the IDG pilot at state level, coordinating with State, LGA and health facility stakeholders and reporting progress and risks to the Program Manager. The role targets individuals with public health or related background who can manage field operations and community engagement in Oyo.
What you would do
- Coordinate day-to-day implementation of the IDG pilot in the state with State and LGA structures
- Apply programme guidance and tools to ensure consistent implementation on the ground
- Support local government to finalise implementation arrangements, including selecting LGAs, wards and facilities
- Liaise with external technical partners on implementation, monitoring, learning and evaluation
- Provide regular progress, risk and challenge updates to the Program Manager
- Support digital reminder, community ambassador and targeted incentive components at state level
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in public health, social sciences, community development or related field
- 3-5 years' experience in public health or social/behaviour change programmes at state or LGA level in Nigeria
- Experience with immunisation, maternal and child health or nutrition programming is an advantage
- Familiarity with health systems and government structures in Oyo is an advantage
- Experience working with communities, health facility staff or community health workers
- Strong field coordination, interpersonal and communication skills
