About this role
Role: State Business Manager, Niger state, for Airtel. You will plan, monitor and drive attainment of customer and revenue market share targets for the zonal operations by leading multiple teams across network operations, customer service, channel management and market expansion.
What you would do
- Develop and implement zonal sales strategies to drive gross additions for prepaid and postpaid segments.
- Monitor churn, grace periods and activations; supervise health of acquisitions and ensure activation compliance within turnaround times.
- Achieve net revenue targets for the zone and drive customer service improvements for collections and bad debts performance.
- Propose and drive upselling of value-added services and work to reduce recharge turnovers and first bill churn.
- Manage channel partners and distributors, including audits, expanding distribution and ensuring ROI and channel satisfaction.
- Oversee network performance and showroom delivery, ensuring coverage, quality, standard showroom infrastructure and staff development.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Management or related Social Sciences; MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum of 12 years' experience in retail sales, preferably in telecommunications, FMCG or manufacturing; at least 4 years in middle management.
- Strong understanding and implementation of Route-to-Market and Go-to-Market strategies.
- Extensive sales and business development experience with proven revenue growth.
- Excellent relationship management, numerical acumen, analytical thinking; presentation and communication skills.
- Leadership ability, team player, attention to detail and execution excellence with a customer-centric orientation.
