About this role
State Administrative and Logistics Officer based in Adamawa on a 2-year renewable contract, responsible for planning and coordinating state-level logistics and managing office administration for IITA's programs, including Youth Agribusiness Parks. The role targets candidates with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, logistics or a related field and 2–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in NGO or development settings.
What you would do
- Plan and coordinate logistics for state-level activities including trainings, workshops, community sensitisation events and Youth Agribusiness Park activities (venue, transport, accommodation, materials and equipment).
- Manage the state office administrative functions (supplies, filing, asset registers, utilities) and vendor service contracts (cleaning, security, internet).
- Coordinate local procurement in line with IITA policy and the approved state work plan; submit consolidated procurement requests to the national Procurement Officer for items above the local threshold.
- Oversee receipt, storage, inventory and distribution of program materials and starter kits with accurate distribution records.
- Supervise the State Driver(s) including scheduling, maintenance tracking and fuel management in line with vehicle policies.
- Prepare imprest retirements and submit expenditure returns to the Project Accountant.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with government officials, community leaders and youth participants.
- Willingness to travel within the state, including to rural and peri-urban locations.
