Specialist - Sustainable Finance & Investment Advisory

About this role

IPMC in Lagos seeks a Specialist in Sustainable Finance and Investment Advisory. The role focuses on providing financial analysis, investment appraisal and advisory support for infrastructure, sustainability, industrial development and corporate investment opportunities. The candidate will work with technical and regulatory specialists to ensure engineering, environmental and compliance considerations are included in investment assessments. The position reports to the Head of Advisory Services or Programme Lead. The employer offers services in oil and gas, infrastructure and related sectors through a team of professional consultants.

What you would do

• Conduct commercial and financial assessments of proposed investment projects
• Develop financial models, investment appraisals, cash-flow projections and sensitivity analyses
• Assess project bankability, funding needs, capital structures and investment risks
• Identify suitable financing, development finance and sustainability-linked investment opportunities
• Prepare investment concept notes, business cases and financial feasibility studies
• Support preparation of project documentation for engagement with financiers and investors
• Collaborate with technical and regulatory specialists to integrate engineering, environmental and compliance requirements into assessments
• Provide transaction-related analytical support on advisory assignments

What they are asking for

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline
• Minimum 7 years in investment advisory, project finance, infrastructure finance, financial modelling or development finance
• Proven ability to evaluate real investment projects and produce credible financial models
• Desirable: CFA, ACA, ACCA or relevant postgraduate qualification
• Experience with development finance institutions, project finance or sustainable investment is an advantage
