Special Need Facilitator

About this role

The Special Needs Facilitator role at iRecruiters Africa Limited is based in Lagos. It involves supporting children with special educational needs on a one-on-one basis, implementing and monitoring their IEPs and learning goals, and assisting with aftercare and group activities. What you would do

• Provide one-on-one support and facilitate learning for children with special educational needs.
• Implement and monitor Individualised Education Plans and learning goals.
• Conduct continuous assessments and maintain accurate records of students' progress.
• Apply ABA and other evidence-based learning strategies where required.
• Communicate with parents and escalate significant concerns when necessary.
• Coordinate and supervise the Aftercare Programme and group activities.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Psychology or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Facilitator, preferably in a special needs setting.
• Experience as educator, teaching assistant, facilitator, therapist or childcare professional.
• Working knowledge of ABA principles and special-needs education (advantage).
• Experience in Montessori or structured learning environment (advantage).
• Strong administrative and documentation skills, basic computer proficiency, and strong verbal and written communication.
