What you would do

• Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images
• Prepare patients for ultrasound, X-ray and ECG examinations
• Explain procedures, position patients and apply ultrasound gel
• Maintain detailed patient records with examination findings and technical parameters
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment
• Communicate preliminary results and observations to physicians and healthcare professionals
• Review images for quality and identify abnormalities requiring further investigation
• Stay updated on ultrasound technology and procedures
• Assist with research projects or training of new staff (if assigned)
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and cooperate with co-workers
