What you would do
- Perform ultrasound examinations as requested by clinicians following protocols and safety procedures
- Obtain and optimise diagnostic images ensuring quality and completeness
- Explain procedures to patients and help them feel comfortable
- Review images for technical quality and completeness and document details
- Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment and examination rooms
- Report faults or maintenance needs promptly
- Follow infection prevention, confidentiality and professional standards
- Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to quality assurance activities
