What you would do
- Inspect the extractor feed hopper and ensure free flow of cake on the bed
- Dip solvent in underground tanks at shift start and end, and report to the supervisor
- Inspect the flowrate of Miscella and the extractor hexane sprayer pump
- Check and monitor distillation and hexane recovery system operating parameters
- Record indicator readings and test results from quality control
- Monitor temperature, steam pressure gauges, flowmeters and ammeters and adjust valves to maintain set points
- Ensure compliance with FSMS requirements in the assigned work process
- Understand and comply with the company's food safety policy and FSMS objectives
- Be aware of identified food safety risks and opportunities relevant to the role

- Minimum of two years' relevant experience in manufacturing, production or FMCG environments
- Practical knowledge of solvent extract in plant operation

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
