Soft Services Manager
About this role
The Soft Services Manager is responsible for the day-to-day delivery and performance of all soft services on site in Lagos, including cleaning, landscaping, pest control and waste management. The role reports to the Facility Manager and leads the soft services team, manages specialist subcontractors, and ensures service quality, SLA/KPI delivery, hygiene and environmental standards, and cost control within budget. It is suited to a hands-on manager who sets high standards and builds disciplined teams. The role requires coordinating readiness for events and peak periods and maintaining a strong service culture across the team.
What you would do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of soft services to agreed SLAs, KPIs and quality standards.
- Plan, schedule and supervise cleaning programmes, grounds maintenance, and pest/waste routines site-wide.
- Roster and develop the soft services team and supervisors; set performance expectations and drive discipline and accountability.
- Manage specialist sub-contractors to ensure scope, standards, compliance and value.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance through inspections, audits and checklists; address defects and corrective actions.
- Oversee hygiene, housekeeping and environmental standards, including waste segregation and safe disposal.
- Control consumables, chemicals and equipment; forecast demand and manage stock and usage.
- Manage the soft services budget and support procurement of equipment and services.
- Enforce HSE compliance across soft services activities including PPE, COSHH and risk assessments.
- Produce performance reports and service data for the Facility Manager and track SLA/KPI attainment.
