Soft Service Supervisor

About this role

The Soft Service Supervisor will directly supervise daily soft service operations at The African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) Abuja, including housekeeping, portering and front-of-house tasks. The role ensures high standards of cleanliness, safety and efficiency, training staff and upholding international healthcare environmental standards.

What you would do

• Supervise housekeeping, portering and front-of-house teams and assign tasks.
• Create daily work schedules and monitor service delivery across zones.
• Conduct rounds to check cleanliness and reallocate resources during emergencies.
• Perform quality audits and ensure IPC and isolation cleaning compliance.
• Manage cleaning equipment, supplies, chemicals and inventory; report faults.
• Coordinate portering requests and ensure safe, timely transport of patients and specimens; maintain logs.

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Public Health or related field.
• Experience in housekeeping or environmental services management, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience optimising workflows, reducing costs, and improving service delivery.
• Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) and sanitation protocols; infection control.
• Proficiency in facilities management software, inventory management systems and MS Office.
• Experience in JCI-accredited or international hospitals is an advantage; excellent communication and customer service skills.
