About this role
Qualis Business Support Services Ltd seeks a Social Worker to oversee the psychosocial welfare, legal protection and case management for all children in the Home. The role ensures compliance with Lagos State Ministry of Youth & Social Development regulations and the Child Rights Act, and applies safeguarding, trauma-informed care and family reintegration.
What you would do
- Conduct social investigations, family tracing, home assessments and risk assessments for admitted children.
- Develop and implement Individual Care Plans and follow up on social care needs.
- Maintain confidential case files and digital records in line with data protection.
- Monitor health, nutrition, mental health, emotional well-being, education and social development of the children.
- Liaise with Lagos State MYSD, Family Courts, Juvenile Welfare Centres, NAPTIP, Police and other agencies; represent the Home in court and prepare legal reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly welfare reports and manage the child welfare database to ensure audit-ready files for MYSD inspections.
What they are asking for
- Degree in Social Work.
- Registered member of the Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASW).
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Social Worker in an NGO, orphanage or child protection setting.
- Knowledge of the Child Rights Act.
- Experience in the management of vulnerable children.
