Social Media Strategist
About this role
A Social Media Strategist is needed to grow the brand’s online presence and turn social audiences into customers. The role involves owning social media strategy, content planning, community engagement, campaign execution, and reporting for the company in Lagos (hybrid work).
What you would do
- Develop and execute monthly social media strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Create and manage monthly content calendars for all social platforms.
- Craft captions, hooks, and calls to action to drive engagement and sales.
- Manage and optimise paid social campaigns for reach, engagement, conversions, and ROI.
- Monitor trends, competitor activity, and platform changes; adjust strategies accordingly.
- Engage with the online community and respond to comments, messages, and enquiries; track performance and provide recommendations; prepare performance reports.
What they are asking for
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
- 2–3 years of proven social media management experience for a brand or similar organisation.
- Strong portfolio showing audience growth, engagement and campaign results.
- Knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms; understanding of algorithms and growth strategies.
- Basic design and video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite or similar).
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, analytical and reporting abilities; experience with paid campaigns is a plus.
