Social Media Manager and Content Creator (Remote)
About this role
BayOne Consults is recruiting a Social Media Manager and Content Creator to oversee the online presence of a personal brand for a CEO and public figure. The role is full-time and remote, based in Abuja, with some events requiring attendance. The successful candidate will plan, create, publish and grow content across multiple platforms, manage live event coverage, support product launches, run paid ads and manage the brand’s email newsletter and online community, with AI tools central to content creation.
What you would do
- Plan a monthly content calendar across platforms
- Create, edit and publish original content daily (copy, photos, graphics, carousels and videos)
- Produce short-form videos for Reels, TikTok and LinkedIn videos
- Write captions and posts to drive engagement and actions
- Repurpose talks and quotes into posts and clips
- Use AI tools to research topics, draft scripts and captions, generate images and edit content
- Create motion graphics and explainer videos with AI tools
- Attend events to record content and post live updates
- Grow followers organically and engage with comments and DMs
- Track analytics and report on growth, engagement and ad performance
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication or relevant field
- Minimum 3 years in content creation and social media management
- Portfolio showing pages managed and growth/campaign results
- Experience creating and editing content with AI tools (including AI-made motion graphics or explainer videos)
- Experience with personal brands or public figures is an advantage
- Strong copywriting and video editing skills (CapCut, InShot, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini Pro, Google flows) and strong prompting skills
- Ability to create motion graphics/AI videos (Higgsfield, Runway, InVideo, HeyGen or similar)
- Knowledge of image editing, photography and mobile video shooting
- Experience running sponsored ads on Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok or Google and basic email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Brevo) - preferred a plus
