About this role
Role leads social listening and digital analytics for the programme, targeting Hausa and English online spaces and health-related or social issues. It suits candidates with substantial experience in social listening, data analysis and remote collaboration within non-profit settings.
What you would do
- Set up and manage the licensed social listening platform for the programme and related activities
- Design, test and maintain Hausa search queries, including variants and Ajami script
- Monitor online conversations daily and issue priority alerts within agreed timeframes
- Produce regular monitoring summaries and keep the live dashboard current
- Track audience response to programme-related community and digital activities
- Lead the selection of listening tools and facilitate platform data access and use
What they are asking for
- Master's degree in Communications, Data Science, Media Studies, Social Science or related field (PhD preferred)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in social listening or media monitoring
- Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise listening platform (Meltwater, Talkwalker, Brandwatch or Sprinklr)
- Experience designing Boolean queries and testing for precision and recall
- Experience monitoring Nigerian or Hausa-language online spaces
- Fluent in Hausa and English
