Slickline Supervisor
About this role
Marquise Energy Limited seeks a Slickline Supervisor to lead on-site slickline operations in Nigeria. The role focuses on planning, rigging, pressure-testing and safely executing interventions to schedule. The supervisor will manage permits, pre-job reviews, equipment rig-up and downtime activities, and coordinate with platform teams and service providers. The position involves directing both routine and complex slickline tasks, coaching crew members, and producing end-of-well reports. What you would do
- Own the permit to work, JSA and well-control barriers for slickline operations.
- Review job programmes, tool strings and contingencies before each run and conduct pre-job and toolbox meetings.
- Supervise equipment rig-up, pressure testing, operation and rig-down.
- Direct routine and complex slickline jobs (plugs and prongs, SSD shifting, TRSSV lock-out, gas lift valve and PBV change-out, swabbing and sand bailing).
- Provide well-site data to NEPL's representatives and prepare end-of-well reports.
- Liaise with platform and FPSO personnel affected by each job and coordinate all services supplied.
- Coach operators and assistants and sign off competence records.
- Distribute and review post-job details and ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain records of operations and report performance data as required.
- Support continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
What they are asking for
- Experience: 8+ years in slickline operations, including 3+ years as a supervisor; offshore or platform experience.
- Certifications: IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control – Wireline, Supervisor level, plus the standard offshore set.
- Skills: leadership, slickline pressure control equipment, tool string design and report writing.
- Education: OND, HND or B.Sc Degree in Engineering or a related field.
