Site Reliability Engineer
About this role
Nomba is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help build secure, scalable, and reliable production systems in Lagos. The role involves incident response, monitoring, automation, CI/CD improvement, and collaboration with product teams to improve architecture and runbooks.
What you would do
- Implement security best practices and ensure regulatory compliance
- Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions
- Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures
- Collaborate with development teams to improve architecture for scalability and performance
- Document operational procedures and runbooks with cross-functional teams
- Automate routine tasks and contribute to CI/CD enhancements

- Strong Linux/Unix knowledge and command-line skills
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

- Experience with containerisation/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience managing large-scale, highly available production systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
