Site Engineer - Structural

About this role

DreamCity Properties in Abuja is seeking a Site Engineer – Structural to oversee structural construction projects. You will report to the Project Coordinator and collaborate with the Project Supervisor and external consultants to ensure designs and schedules are followed and to uphold the company’s standards and quality checks.

What you would do

• Implement project designs and construction works schedules as instructed by the Project Supervisor.
• Ensure adherence to approved designs and project schedules throughout construction.
• Coordinate the activities of masons, labourers and ad hoc staff on site.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with project team members to meet objectives, including working with the Project Supervisor, Executive Assistant and external consultants to ensure conformity with company standards.
• Contribute to applying DreamCity Property and Investment Ltd's construction policy and project checklist to maintain quality assurance.
• Optimise utilisation of financial resources and materials allocated for site use; minimise wastage.

What they are asking for

• HND or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Site Structural Engineer in real estate/construction.
• Qualifications in engineering such as structural engineering or related field.
• Professional certification including COREN, NSE or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, project management and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret project designs and specifications; good communication and interpersonal skills.
