About this role
Based in Lagos, this role acts as the technical focal point for upper and lower completion applications, developing fit-for-purpose completion solutions and supporting field execution. It requires extensive experience in completion design, packers, safety valves, tubing stress analysis, sand control, and OHGP applications. You will work with customers, field operations, product teams and global engineering to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective completion systems.
What you would do
- Lead the design and application engineering of upper and lower completion systems for offshore and onshore projects.
- Develop optimised completion architectures based on reservoir, wellbore and operational requirements.
- Specify and select completion equipment including production packers, retrievable and permanent packers, SCSSVs, gas lift systems, flow control devices, sliding sleeves, landing nipples, seal assemblies and intelligent completion components.
- Own OHGP and sand control applications, including screen selection and gravel pack design, with execution support.
- Perform detailed engineering analyses including tubing stress, load calculations and thermal effects, plus seal movement evaluations.
- Act as the primary technical interface between the customer, operations, manufacturing facilities and global engineering resources.

- Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of completion engineering experience with exposure to both upper and lower completions.
- Proven experience with production packers, SCSSV systems, intelligent completions, gas lift systems, sand control technologies, OHGP applications and deepwater/offshore completion systems.
- Proficiency with tubing stress analysis software.
- Excellent customer engagement and communication skills, with ability to lead technical discussions and influence customer decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
