Service Engineer
About this role
SANY Nigeria is seeking Service Engineers to operate in Lagos, with roles also serving Kano, Abuja and Port Harcourt. The job covers installation and commissioning of SANY products, maintenance and repair, technical support for customers, field service visits, and documentation of service activities. The engineer will diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to service calls. Candidates will provide technical guidance on product use, maintenance and troubleshooting and must be willing to travel and work flexible hours.
What you would do
- Assemble, install and commission SANY products according to specifications and standards
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and ensure equipment safety and functionality
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
- Carry out timely repairs and replace faulty components
- Respond to service calls and conduct on-site equipment inspections
- Coordinate service visits with customers
- Provide technical support and guidance on product use and maintenance
- Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, repair reports and inspection findings
- Report equipment performance and opportunities for improvement to the team
What they are asking for
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
- 3–5 years of field service and equipment maintenance experience
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
