Senior SME Sales Officer
About this role
A full-time Senior SME Sales Officer role based in Port Harcourt, targeting candidates with extensive SME lending and leadership experience to grow and manage SME financing sales, portfolios, and client relationships.
What you would do
- Prepare loan proposals with documentation and monitoring from approval to disbursement.
- Analyse financial statements and conduct loan appraisals to assess repayment capacity.
- Develop and manage SME financing opportunities including loans, PO financing, and bridge financing.
- Drive growth and profitability of the SME loan portfolio through sales and relationship management.
- Lead and manage SME Financing BDMs and monitor business performance.
- Maintain existing client relationships, monitor loan portfolios and drive timely repayments.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
- Strong knowledge of credit analysis, financial statement interpretation, loan appraisal, and SME financing products.
- Experience managing a team of SME Financing BDMs is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in SME sales, business development, and loan portfolio management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, relationship management and reporting skills; proficient in MS Office.
- Experience in MFIs, commercial banks, merchant banks or finance houses is an added advantage; 10+ years in SME lending or financing.
