About this role

Senior SRH Officer – Capacity Building for IRC's Impact@Scale in Sokoto. The role provides state-level technical support, capacity building and quality assurance for SRH services at government PHCs and IRC facilities, focusing on expanding voluntary contraception access and PPH prevention through the E-MOTIVE Bundle. It reports to the Roving SRH Manager and works with facility leadership, government partners and IRC teams.

What you would do

• Build the capacity of health workers to implement Impact@Scale interventions for voluntary contraception access and PPH prevention using the E-MOTIVE Bundle.
• Plan, facilitate and follow up competency-based training, on-the-job coaching, mentorship, simulation drills, supportive supervision and post-training follow-ups for facility teams.
• Support providers to apply E-MOTIVE components for early detection, escalation, treatment and referral of PPH in line with project protocols and national guidance.
• Strengthen provider skills in family planning counselling, informed choice, method provision, infection prevention, documentation, follow-up and referral.
• Use mentorship plans, skills checklists and action trackers to document progress and identify additional support needs.
• Conduct routine supportive supervision, assess service quality, develop facility action plans and escalate unresolved technical or commodity-related issues.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Community Health, Reproductive Health, Medicine or a related clinical or public health field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience implementing SRH, family planning, maternal health, BEmONC or humanitarian health programmes.
• Demonstrated experience providing training, on-the-job coaching, clinical mentorship, supportive supervision and quality improvement support to facility-based health workers.
• Strong practical knowledge of voluntary contraception, PPH prevention and management, the E-MOTIVE Bundle, maternal and newborn health, post-abortion care, STI management and referral systems.
• Experience working with government PHCs and IRC static facilities.
