Senior QA / QC Supervisor
About this role
Westfield Energy Resources Limited is looking for a Senior QA / QC Supervisor in Lagos. The role involves supervising QA/QC inspectors, ensuring inspections follow ITPs, drawings, standards and client requirements, and reviewing QA/QC documents such as reports, checklists, welding logs and material certificates. The supervisor leads non-conformance reporting and drives the implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions, while coordinating with client QA/QC representatives for joint inspections and sign-offs. The position requires validating welding consumables, WPS/PQR, welder qualifications and NDT test compliance, supporting QMS audits and ISO 9001:2015 certification, and maintaining traceability of materials, welds and calibration tools on projects. The employer operates across upstream oil & gas, power and infrastructure in West Africa and offers engineering, procurement, construction and installation, commissioning and project management services.
What you would do
- Supervise QA/QC inspectors and ensure inspections follow ITPs, drawings, standards and client requirements
- Review and approve QA/QC reports, ITP checklists, welding logs, material certificates, NCR reports and inspection records
- Lead Non-Conformance reporting and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed out
- Coordinate with client QA/QC representatives for joint inspections, punch list issuance, and work sign-offs
- Validate welding consumables, WPS/PQR, welder qualifications and NDT test compliance
- Support QMS audits, internal audits, ISO 9001:2015 certification, and ensure compliance across construction and fabrication activities
- Ensure traceability of materials, welds, consumables and calibration tools on all projects
What they are asking for
- B.Sc. or HND in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy, Welding) or related technical field
- 5-7 years in QA/QC roles in EPC, fabrication, oil & gas or construction projects
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (Required)
- ASNT NDT Level II (PT, MT, UT or RT) (Required)
- AWS/CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector (Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards (ASME, API, AWS), ITPs, NDT methods, material traceability, reporting and leadership
