Senior Production Technologist

About this role

Senior Production Technologist role with Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, based in Lagos. The position is operational and focuses on improving production, optimising the well stock, and managing wells, reservoirs and operating envelopes across assigned assets, acting as the Production Technology focal point within the Production Engineering Team.

What you would do

• Integrate asset knowledge into Well, Reservoir and Facility Management and develop data-informed surveillance plans.
• Ensure compliance with well, reservoir and facility management and well integrity guidelines in assigned fields.
• Support wireline and coiled tubing interventions, workovers and abandonment programmes, including economic justification and operational support.
• Lead well performance modelling, sand prediction and sand control design, and upper completion design for land and swamp operations.
• Develop and deliver internal and external communications materials, including presentations to corporate, partners and authorities.
• Identify short-term oil opportunities for ranking in business planning and contribute to field development plans.

What they are asking for

• University degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 12 to 15 years relevant experience, including a minimum of 12 years PT work experience in an Oil and Gas operating company.
• Broad understanding of other E&P disciplines.
• Proficiency in core Production Technology areas: well modelling and performance, production system optimisation, sand control and management, well integrity and determining well operating envelopes, and wells, reservoir and facilities management.
• Planning and design of well intervention activities, and completion design and supervision.
• HSE considerations in well management and completion operations; coaching/mentoring.
