Senior Production Geologist

About this role

The Senior Production Geologist will develop and mature the OML 30 field development plans to grow production to at least 100Kbopd. He/her will join the subsurface team of geoscientists and work with the Petroleum Engineering functions to deliver robust development plans and well proposals.

What you would do

• Supervise and participate in geological reservoir studies to construct or improve geological models
• Apply advanced interpretation and evaluation techniques to deliver integrated subsurface geological models
• Integrate seismic and well data with petrophysical interpretation to define stratigraphic frameworks and reservoir properties
• Provide geological support to workover and drilling operations
• Collaborate with Reservoir Engineers and Production Technologists to develop history-matched dynamic models
• Ensure new well and workover proposals have a solid geological basis and deliver timely subsurface studies and development plans

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics or Petroleum Geosciences; advanced degrees preferred
• Minimum 10 years' experience in production geoscience, reservoir modelling and field development planning with well execution; preferably with an operating oil and gas company
• Strong seismic interpretation and reservoir modelling skills; able to convert FDPs into well proposals
• Proficient in Petrel and Microsoft Office; strong analytical and technical skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to learn, take on challenges outside the comfort zone and strong organisational and project management skills
