About this role
Duplo, a Lagos-based fintech, is looking for a Senior Product Manager for Financial Operations to lead the strategy and growth of the FinOps product suite. The role focuses on the money-in and money-out journey, including invoicing, e-invoicing, local and international transfers, expense management, billing, and direct debit, with responsibility for the Duplo Dashboard used by finance teams. The position is hybrid in Lagos and involves overseeing monetisation, pricing, and cross-border payments across multiple African markets. You will own the dashboard, define the roadmap, and collaborate with design and engineering leads to deliver outcomes aligned with commercial goals. The role includes customer discovery across markets, cross-functional leadership, and accountability for revenue impact and usage metrics.
What you would do
- Own the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the Financial Operations suite and unify them into a coherent FinOps approach.
- Maintain an outcome-based roadmap for the Duplo Dashboard, balancing capabilities, commitments, compliance and technical debt.
- Identify expansion opportunities into adjacent financial operations products.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the FinOps monetisation roadmap from discovery to adoption.
- Track market and competitive landscape to inform positioning and pricing.
- Own invoicing end-to-end including recurring invoices, reminders, collection, and reconciliation.
- Drive e-invoicing to meet market tax requirements and support adoption.
- Design approval workflows, maker-checker controls, limits and audit trails for local transfers.
- Own local payments on the Dashboard including payouts, vendor management, and reconciliation.
- Expand cross-border payments including FX, onboarding, tracking and delivery confirmation.
What they are asking for
- Experience shipping financial operations solutions, monetisation or billing features in fintech or B2B contexts.
- Interest or experience with African markets and multi-country B2B financial infrastructure.
- Strong data-driven decision making for prioritising roadmaps under uncertainty.
- Solid product analytics skills and experience with BI tools (e.g., Metabase, Mixpanel, Amplitude). SQL is a plus.
- Ability to write clear BRDs/PRDs and collaborate across Engineering, Design, Compliance, and GTM.
- Proven track record of product-led growth with measurable activation, retention or expansion improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders without authority.
- Bias for action in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.
- Hands-on experience with payments products, including local payouts, collections, cross-border payments, and FX.
