Senior Pipeline Engineer (Project Contract)

About this role

Senior Pipeline Engineer (Project Contract) based in Lagos. The role involves preparing pipeline design deliverables across conceptual, FEED, DED and construction/installation and commissioning phases, and supervising activities during installation and commissioning. It is for candidates with 8-10 years of experience in pipeline engineering.

What you would do

• Prepare pipeline design deliverables for conceptual, FEED, DED and construction/installation and commissioning phases.
• Define project scope of work and extract scope from contract where applicable.
• Conduct feasibility studies, route selection and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO and local regulatory standards.
• Participate in design reviews and HAZID/HAZOP exercises.
• Supervise contractors during installation and commissioning and manage vendor/OEM/contractor interactions.

What they are asking for

• B.Sc degree in Mechanical, Marine, Civil, Petroleum or Chemical Engineering (MSc in Pipeline/Oil & Gas Engineering optional).
• NSE and COREN professional qualifications (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of pipeline engineering principles including hydraulics, stress analysis and materials engineering.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.4, B31.8, B31.3, ASME Section VIII and API 1111; onshore and offshore pipeline design.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Software proficiency in CAESAR II, AVEVA E3D, ANSYS, OFFPIPE, PIPESIM, MathCAD, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
