Senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager

About this role

Senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager (Nigeria) leads data collection, analysis and knowledge management for EIDU Nigeria, coordinating with government education bodies and driving evaluation activities including RCTs to improve learning outcomes.

What you would do

• Manage government research engagement and M&E activities with Nigerian state education ministries and agencies.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to align research initiatives with organisational strategies and deliver key projects on time.
• Lead impact evaluations, including randomized controlled trials, on literacy, numeracy and transition outcomes in EIDU programs.
• Identify strategic opportunities to expand the department through partnerships and responses to RFPs with Nigerian and international funders.
• Design and implement a comprehensive M&E framework for Nigeria programs, with defined metrics, methodologies and data collection systems.
• Create SOPs, tools and templates to standardise data collection, management and reporting across programs.

• PhD or advanced degree in Social Sciences, Data Science or Education.
• 6+ years M&E experience in international development, EdTech or education programs in Nigeria or similar LMIC contexts.
• At least 2 years managing communications and M&E activities with government entities (ideally Nigerian state or federal education bodies).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to own end-to-end projects in a fast-moving start-up environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel across Nigeria.
• Proficiency in STATA, R or Python for data analysis and communicating findings.
