Senior Materials Support Services Officer

About this role

The role provides senior materials management support for oil and gas operations, projects, maintenance and drilling activities in Lagos, Nigeria. You will coordinate planning, procurement, expediting, receipt, storage, preservation and distribution of materials and equipment to ensure they are available at the right time, in the right quantity and to the required quality at the specified location. It is suitable for professionals with a degree in a relevant field and substantial materials management experience in oil and gas or related sectors.

What you would do

• Review material requisitions, purchase orders, stock requirements and material specifications.
• Coordinate forecasting and requirements planning for materials.
• Monitor procurement and expediting to ensure timely delivery.
• Track materials from purchase through manufacturing, inspection, shipment, receipt and final delivery.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams on receiving, inspection, storage, issuing and returns.
• Maintain accurate materials and inventory records using SAP, ERP or other systems.

• HND or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline).
• Significant experience in materials management within oil and gas, EPC, construction, refinery, petrochemical or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of materials planning, procurement, expediting, warehousing, inventory control and logistics.
• Experience with SAP MM, ERP or other materials-management systems.
• Ability to work across onshore, offshore, warehouse, project and field environments.
• Strong analytical, organisational and coordination skills.
