Senior Lecturer (Law)

ESUT invites qualified candidates for a Senior Lecturer position in the Law faculty. The role targets applicants with substantial teaching, research and administrative experience in law, at least six years total with two years at Lecturer 1, and appropriate professional registration.

What you would do

• Undertake teaching and supervision in the Law department.
• Engage in research and publish in reputable journals.
• Perform administrative duties as required by the department or faculty.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic planning.
• Participate in university committees and governance activities.
• Fulfill general duties expected of senior academic staff.

• Minimum of 6 years cognate teaching, research and administrative experience, including at least 2 years at Lecturer 1
• Evidence of registration with the relevant regulatory body, where applicable
• First Degree, Master's Degree and PhD in the law discipline from a recognised university
• Administrative experience such as acting as dean, acting head of department, director, or committee member (advantageous)
• Good honours degree (minimum Second Class Upper Division) from a recognised university
• Evidence of scholarly publications in indexed journals and NYSC completion or exemption
