Senior Internal Auditor

Senior Internal Auditor role with Spectrum Books Limited in Oyo. The position provides independent audit oversight to manage financial, operational and business risks, identifies control weaknesses and risks, and recommends practical measures to strengthen accountability and internal controls across the organisation and its depots.

What you would do

• Conduct risk-based and surprise internal audits across Head Office, depots and other locations.
• Review financial transactions, expenses, records and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct stock audits and reconcile physical stock with ERP records, investigating variances.
• Assess internal controls, segregation of duties and approval processes for policy compliance.
• Identify control weaknesses and operational inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate suspected fraud or irregularities and prepare audit reports with findings and follow-up actions.

• At least six years of relevant internal audit experience.
• Chartered Accountant or recognised professional accounting/auditing qualification.
• Proven experience in internal audit, risk management, financial controls and operational auditing.
• Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to depot locations; proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office and related audit tools.
