About this role
A Senior Software Engineer with strong backend experience in Golang is sought to design, build and maintain scalable backend services for lending and credit products in FairMoney, Lagos. The role focuses on reliable systems, performance, and collaboration with product, data, risk, and other teams, with emphasis on distributed architectures and high-volume financial environments.
What you would do
- Design and maintain scalable backend services and distributed systems
- Develop reliable APIs and services for lending and credit products
- Design, optimise and maintain relational databases and data models
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability and reliability bottlenecks
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions
- Improve observability, monitoring and operational reliability

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend (Golang)
