Senior General Manager, Production
About this role
Senior General Manager, Production at the Dangote Group. The role involves monitoring plant performance and optimising production processes and equipment, with responsibilities to ensure quality, safety and efficiency while meeting production, delivery and profitability targets. What you would do
- Monitor plant performance through measurement and analysis using standard tools, benchmarking and predefined company indicators.
- Optimise and adapt production process and equipment in line with improvement plans.
- Monitor production performance including cost and volumes of raw materials, energy and fuels, and ensure alignment with planned targets.
- Implement strategies, plans and programmes for producing quality products and achieving set levels of plant capacity utilisation and efficiency.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for production methods, quality and safety.
- Create safe work conditions and mobilise all plant employees and contractors on safety at work.
What they are asking for
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in any discipline. MBA is required.
- Minimum of 15 years experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management level.
- In-depth knowledge of cement production processes.
- Strong knowledge of the cement industry (local and international) including trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations.
- Experience with Operations and Maintenance Management Systems; SAP experience is helpful.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with strong communication, interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
