Senior General Manager - Mechanical

About this role

Senior General Manager, Mechanical role with the Dangote Group in Lagos. The position is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant mechanical equipment and systems to maximise production quantity and quality, while supporting the company's policies and objectives.

What you would do

• Develop the maintenance strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
• Oversee the maintenance programme implementation based on best practices.
• Plan and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Ensure maintenance staff are trained, equipped and motivated for safe and timely work.
• Monitor equipment performance to minimise downtime and identify improvements.
• Maintain the CMMS and manage maintenance records.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 27 years' experience in repairs and maintenance of cement manufacturing equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of cement plant maintenance and cement manufacturing process.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership ability.
• Good data gathering, analysis and problem solving skills; creativity.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
