Senior Full Stack Developer
About this role
A Senior Full Stack Developer position at KPMG in Lagos. The role involves designing and building scalable web applications, leading frontend work with React, Next.js and TypeScript, and building APIs using Node.js and/or Python. You will design microservices, manage authentication and security, optimise databases, and handle CI/CD, testing and cloud deployments using Docker and cloud platforms. You will review code, mentor junior developers and collaborate with product, design and QA teams. What you would do
- Lead frontend development using React, Next.js and TypeScript
- Build and manage APIs using Node.js and/or Python
- Design and maintain microservices and core business logic
- Manage authentication, authorization and application security
- Design and optimise databases and queries
- Manage CI/CD, testing and cloud deployments
- Use Docker and platforms such as AWS, Vercel or GCP
- Review code and mentor junior developers
- Collaborate with Product, Design and QA teams to deliver projects
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field with minimum Second Class Upper Division
- Minimum of five O Level credits in no more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics
- 3 - 5 years of post-NYSC full stack development experience
- Strong experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript
- Proven experience building production APIs with Node.js and/or Python
- Good understanding of system design, microservices and scalability
- Strong database design and performance skills
- Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD and cloud deployment
- Strong understanding of application security
