Senior Finance & Accounts Officer

About this role

Senior Finance & Accounts Officer role based in Lagos. The position provides financial advice and handles related finance and accounts administration to support business planning and decision making for the company and its subsidiaries. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, ACA or similar certification, and at least five years’ experience in a similar role, with an MBA considered an advantage.

What you would do

• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurement and investment activities for the company and its subsidiaries.
• Collaborate with unit heads to prepare annual financial budgets, including operating and capital expenditure budgets.
• Ensure adherence to approved capital expenditure budgets.
• Prepare monthly management accounts showing actual revenue, projections, balance sheet reconciliation and performance analysis.
• Manage payroll processing in line with existing regulations.
• Implement internal control measures and cost-saving strategies to reduce expenses and ensure compliance with statutory returns and audit requirements.
