About this role
Senior Executive Assistant to the National Coordinator for RenewHER in Abuja. It is a high-trust, on-site senior support and communications role responsible for the National Coordinator’s calendar, briefs, correspondence, speeches, research, meeting preparation and leadership follow-through. The position requires extensive experience supporting a senior leader and strong writing and discretion.
What you would do
- Manage the National Coordinator’s official calendar under priority rules and escalation protocol
- Produce daily and weekly executive briefs detailing decisions, deadlines, meetings, commitments, risks and pending items
- Prepare meetings by coordinating agendas, research, papers, talking points and follow-up actions
- Draft and coordinate speeches, remarks and briefing notes in the National Coordinator’s voice with fact-check and version control
- Research official issues and convert credible evidence into concise, decision-useful material
- Build and assess a forward-looking opportunities pipeline and advise on accept/decline/delegate/defer to RenewHER's objectives
What they are asking for
- 8–15+ years of high-level executive support experience, including at least 3 years supporting a minister, senior government official, diplomat, CEO or global executive
- Outstanding English writing and editing for speeches, remarks, executive correspondence and briefs
- Exceptional calendar judgement, anticipation, research, stakeholder coordination, discretion and follow-through
- Evidence of reproducing a principal’s voice in writing without impersonation or unauthorised commitments
- Secure technology and AI fluency with ability to support an executive who has ADHD
- Desirable: experience in Nigeria Presidency/MDA, diplomacy, multilateral, global-health, foundation or high-profile CEO office; background in speechwriting, policy research, strategic communications or protocol; relevant bachelor’s degree (postgraduate credentials useful but not required)
