Senior Database Administrator and Solutions Architect sought by Vennote Technologies Limited in Lagos to lead a comprehensive database environment assessment for a major Nigerian Telco, auditing and architecting MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Oracle deployments for performance, security, and high availability.

What you would do

• Audit replica sets, sharding strategies and storage engines
• Diagnose OS-level bottlenecks and resource utilisation using Linux/Unix knowledge
• Manage end-to-end assessment workflows and project milestones
• Conduct gap analyses on RBAC, encryption, and audit logging for regulatory compliance
• Review data models, schemas and indexing for high-volume subscriber and CDR processing
• Develop 12- to 24-month infrastructure growth roadmaps and validate failover and backup protocols

What they are asking for

• Minimum 8 years in DBA and Database Architecture
• At least 5 years specializing in MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Oracle
• Hands-on Linux/Unix administration, scripting and containerised deployments (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
• Experience managing complex technical projects and multi-phase database assessments
• Telco domain experience with high-volume, low-latency data environments
• Strong MongoDB expertise (6.0/7.0+, Ops Manager/Cloud Manager and performance tools)
