Senior Accountant / Head of Finance
About this role
Senior Accountant / Head of Finance needed in Lagos to lead Kaplo Africa’s finance and accounting function. Must have extensive hands-on experience in the financial services sector and be capable of delivering finance controls, reporting, budgeting, treasury, and strategic financial guidance.
What you would do
- Lead and oversee the company’s accounting and finance operations
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning
- Establish and maintain financial controls, policies and processes
- Monitor income, expenditure, receivables and payables, and overall financial performance
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators and banks and oversee statutory reporting and tax activities
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
- Hands-on accounting experience in the financial services industry (e.g., banks, lending, fintech)
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, controls and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing finance teams and working with senior management
