Senior Accountant

About this role

A Senior Accountant role at Habrams Energy in Lagos, responsible for leading day-to-day Finance and Accounts activities, including financial accounting, management reporting, project accounting and cash-flow management. What you would do

• Manage the general ledger and month-end close
• Prepare and review management accounts and financial statements
• Oversee project budgeting, costs, commitments and expenditure
• Monitor project margins, cost-to-complete, variations and unbilled revenue
• Prepare cash-flow forecasts and manage working capital and liquidity
• Supervise two accounting staff and ensure timely, compliant financial reporting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior/supervisory role
• Experience in financial accounting, management reporting and project accounting
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow and working-capital management
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; experience with QuickBooks or ERP systems
