Senior Accountant

About this role

Ascentech Services Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations and financial controls in Lagos. The role is for a professional with strong accounting knowledge and analytical skills to ensure accurate financial records and regulatory compliance.

What you would do

• Oversee daily accounting operations and financial transactions.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, suppliers, customers, and other ledgers.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses and financial transactions.
• Ensure tax and regulatory compliance and support audits by providing required schedules and documentation.

What they are asking for

• BSc/HND in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Experience with reconciliations, budgeting, and tax compliance.
