Security & Technology Risk Analyst (Remote)

About this role

Moniepoint Incorporated is seeking a remote Security & Technology Risk Analyst based in Nigeria to join its Information Security Assurance Team. The role involves identifying, monitoring and reporting security and technology risks across the fintech ecosystem, and translating risk data into insights for leadership while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational resilience.

What you would do

• Conduct risk assessments across security and technology domains using NIST RMF, FAIR and qualitative/quantitative methods.
• Perform Business Impact Analysis on critical systems to determine RTOs and RPOs, collaborating with process owners to validate findings and maintain documentation.
• Administer and maintain the security risk register with current and historical records to provide audit evidence for regulatory examinations and audits.
• Develop and document risk treatment plans aligned with enterprise risk appetite, coordinating with cross-functional teams to integrate into product development and operations.
• Track and validate execution of risk treatment plans, monitor completion, escalate delays, and manage residual risk within tolerance, adjusting plans as needed.
• Design and maintain quantitative risk metrics and dashboards for executive decision-making, and monitor for emerging threats and regulatory changes.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in operational risk management, cybersecurity risk or technology risk assessment.
• Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, threat analysis or vulnerability management.
• Experience developing risk metrics, KPIs or dashboards for executive audiences.
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001, and knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery planning principles.
• Professional certifications such as CISM or CRISC (or equivalent) are preferred; experience in fintech or highly regulated industries is preferred.
