Security Officer (Kaduna)

What you would do

• Control access to company premises and verify identification for employees, visitors, contractors and vehicles
• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, production areas, warehouses, parking lots and other locations
• Monitor CCTV, alarms and other security equipment as applicable
• Keep records of visitors, vehicle movements, security incidents and daily security activities
• Inspect incoming and outgoing vehicles, goods and materials per company procedures
• Prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access and other security breaches
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies or suspicious activities and escalate as needed
• Enforce company security policies and ensure compliance with safety and access procedures
• Support emergency response, evacuation procedures and incident investigations when required
• Maintain secure post equipment and hand over areas during shift changes

• Minimum of HND or related security management qualification (advantage)
• 1 to 3 years of relevant security experience
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, industrial or corporate security (advantage)
• Basic knowledge of access control, incident reporting, surveillance and emergency response
• First Aid, fire safety or security-related training is desirable
• Alertness, integrity, good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, disciplined and able to work with security procedures
• Teamwork and effective conflict management
• Physical fitness appropriate to duties
