Security Officer

About this role

Three Security Officers are being recruited to provide protection and security coverage at the Managing Director’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos. The role involves guarding lives and property, performing routine security checks, monitoring access, recording visitors and incidents, and responding to emergencies. Preference is given to ex-servicemen with relevant corporate or residential security experience, and to candidates who demonstrate high professionalism, discretion, and integrity. The position requires availability for day or night shifts and a willingness to work at the MD Residence in Ikoyi.

What you would do

• Maintain security coverage at the MD Residence during assigned day or night shifts.
• Conduct routine security patrols and checks around the residence and immediate surroundings.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying visitors, contractors and other authorised persons.
• Maintain records of visitors, vehicle movements, security incidents and shift handovers.
• Identify, assess and report suspicious activities, security breaches and potential threats.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms and security incidents.
• Enforce security procedures and access-control protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of the MD, family, visitors and occupants.
• Liaise with the Group Head of Security and relevant security agencies when necessary.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned by the Group Head of Security.

What they are asking for

• Previous military, paramilitary, police or other relevant security service experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant security experience, preferably in corporate, executive or high-profile residential security.
• Must not be more than 45 years of age.
• Knowledge of security procedures, access control, surveillance and emergency response.
• Good observation, communication and incident-reporting skills.
• High level of integrity, discipline, alertness, discretion and professionalism.
• Physically fit and medically capable of performing security duties; able to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Must be reliable, punctual and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Relevant security training or certifications are an added advantage.
• Willingness to work at the MD Residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
