Security Officer

About this role

A Security Officer is needed to protect Tongyi Allied Mining Limited’s office premises, staff, visitors and company property in Abuja. The role includes basic facility maintenance tasks, reporting faults, managing entry and exit points, and responding to alarms and incidents. The officer will document incidents, maintain logs, conduct safety checks, assist people with inquiries, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when required. They may help develop emergency response procedures and perform minor repairs or maintenance tasks. The position requires living in company-provided accommodation and staying calm under pressure while upholding security and safety protocols.

What you would do

• Conduct routine security patrols and protect company property
• Manage entry and exit points by verifying identification and authorisations
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents and take appropriate action
• Document and report incidents and maintain daily logs and records
• Conduct regular safety checks of facilities to identify hazards
• Assist visitors and staff with inquiries and directions
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed
• Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans
• Carry out basic maintenance such as changing light bulbs and minor repairs
• Inspect facilities and report faults, damaged fittings, or maintenance issues
