Sector Head, Heavy Industries

About this role

DET Consulting Limited is seeking a Sector Head, Heavy Industries in Lagos. The role involves building and managing relationships with Heavy Industries sector clients, directing the unit to meet business goals, and supporting relationship managers to grow the bank's share of customers' business and target markets.

What you would do

• Formulate and supervise the implementation of sector strategies, targets and marketing goals.
• Develop and implement initiatives to achieve the sector's budget and financial targets; monitor progress to ensure targets are met.
• Monitor changes in the operating environment, market needs and competition and provide timely information to enable opportunities for the bank.
• Cross-sell the bank's products and identify profitable trade transactions and assets for the bank.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with sector clients.
• Lead and develop the sector team, setting targets and overseeing performance management.

What they are asking for

• First degree or equivalent; Master’s degree or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years cognate experience, including sector experience.
• Deep knowledge of credit analysis and bank credit culture, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of treasury operations and IT proficiency.
• Specialised and expert knowledge of the target sub-sectors within Heavy Industries.
• Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure and maintain integrity.
